Dear Excel Academy Clients,

We are grateful for your continued trust in Excel Academy and would like to inform you of important updates to our invoice and make-up session policy, effective March 1, 2024.

  • Same-Day Cancellation (Current Policy) – Excel Academy currently does not offer make-up sessions or rescheduling for same-day cancellations, except in emergent situations. Please understand our tutors/instructors have schedules that are booked in advance.
  • Weekly Attendance Requirement: All tutoring sessions except college counseling sessions are counted on a minimum weekly by each subject. Any planned missed sessions notified at least 24 hours in advance must be scheduled as separate make-up sessions. This ensures consistency for your students and supports academic progress.
  • Consideration of Discontinuation (Current Policy): For more than a two-month period (60 days) break, we will consider discontinuation, not provide make-up sessions, and new enrollment fees will occur upon return. 
  • Make-up Session: Effective March 1, 2024, the front office will manage make-up sessions separately instead of applying them to the next invoice. We do not offer any credit to your next invoice for make-up sessions except for the center closure dates. Make-up sessions are permitted only for sessions canceled at least 24 hours in advance. All make-up sessions must be completed by the end of the calendar year with the current payment enrollment period. We do not offer any make-up sessions for group-setting sessions.
  • Same Tutor/Instructor (Current Policy): To maximize each student’s progress, we strive to schedule sessions with the same tutor as much as possible. However, in unavoidable circumstances (such as the unavailability of makeup sessions, emergency situations, etc.), we may offer a substitute tutor. If you prefer to continue with the same tutor, we kindly ask for your patience until a makeup session with the same tutor becomes available.
  • No Rescheduling for Make-up Sessions: Please note that we cannot offer rescheduling for make-up sessions.
  • For Credit Card Payment Clients: Effective March 1. 2024, we will automatically process tuition payments for credit card payment clients using the authorized credit card on the due date. We will send a credit card authorization form to all credit card clients to be completed by March 1, 2024. There is a credit card fee of 3.5% that will be applied to the invoice. Credit card fees will be waived when tuition is paid with cash, check, ACH, or online payment(Zelle)
  • Hourly Package or Semester/Course-long Enrollment: Effective March 1, 2024, we do not offer any monthly payment option for new clients. All new clients for 1-on-1 or Semi-Private tutoring will have the opportunity to select which hourly package best fits their needs. In addition, Course/Group Sessions, Homework Help, and AI-Human Care Group Sessions will be available only for semester/course-long enrollment.
  • Current Monthly Payment Clients: Current monthly payment clients can continue to make a payment monthly with at least one full semester enrollment.
  • Discounts (Current Policy): Greater discounts will be offered for larger hourly packages and early registration for course enrollment. For more information on package pricing, please contact our office.
  • Annual Membership Price Benefit (New): We will offer an annual membership with lower tuition and an annual membership fee starting August 1. 2024. The new price chart for membership will be available on June 1, 2024.
